Robert Richardson

Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer

Robert Richardson is Chief Operating Officer and a co-founder of Plenisfer Investments. With over thirty years’ experience in the financial sector and fund management industry, he is responsible for full oversight of the firm’s operating environment and is a voting member of the Investment Committee.

Previously, COO then CEO and Director of Pioneer Investment Management Ltd. and Director of Pioneer Asset Management, SA, Luxembourg (and subsequently held the same roles in Amundi), he oversaw the firm’s Irish entities and their foreign offices. His responsibilities included governance, regulatory relationships and business activities centred out of Ireland. Active across different industry bodies, Robert is the former Chairman of the Irish Investment Industry Association and former Chairman of the Forum for European Asset Managers.

Before joining Pioneer Investments, Robert was VP of The Boston Company where he was responsible for international operations management, systems development and business strategy within the Fund Administration Division. He has a BA in Economics from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA and a General Course Certificate from the London School of Economics.

Originally from the US, Rob moved to Dublin in the mid-90’s where he still lives with his wife and their two children. Rob is a keen golfer and an avid reader.
